Coffee Jelly Cubes Recipe
Coffee Jelly is a dessert I have come across before in Asian restaurants. It’s typically served with a sweet pouring cream or condensed milk. It’s super flavourful and a memorable dessert for coffee lovers. I paired my Coffee Jelly Cubes Recipe with Baileys and it’s giving me some serious Baby Guinness vibes and I’m all for it.

So how do I make Coffee Jelly Cubes Recipe from scratch?
It’s actually a really simple process, boil some water and pour it over instant coffee granules and sugar. Whisk to dissolve everything and sprinkle the powdered gelatin(I chose Dr. Oetkers gelatin powder) on top. Whisk again to dissolve everything, this may take a minute or so, pour into a lined square baking tin and leave to set in the fridge for four hours. When set, simply cut into cubes and serve in a glass. You can add milk, pouring cream, condensed milk or Baileys over, I chose Baileys, yolo.

Can I make this Vegan?
You sure can! If you can get your hands on some agar agar powder you can make this vegan. It’s usually found in health food stores or you can find it here on Amazon. The resulting Coffee Jelly Cubes will be a little more firm as agar agar works a little differently than gelatin. Substitute the gelatin powder for 5 grams of agar agar. For agar to set, it has to be boiled and not simply melted. Combine all the ingredients, including the agar agar in a small saucepan. Heat on medium for 5-6 minutes and then pour into your lined square baking tin. Leave it to set for 4 hours, it can be chilled or left at room temperature, it sets the same in either situation. When set, slice into cubes and serve with your choice of Vegan milk or creams or Vegan Baileys.
